Ramos Rahily filled with hope, enthusiasm and eager to continue smiling at life, accompanied by her mother, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Caracas, where she received a nice surprise.
Ramos, 15 years old, is a fan of Korean group, BTS, that belongs to the artistic cultural scene of KPOP, she is suffering from cancer and have received one of her most desired gifts, an autographed CD -sent directly from Seoul- signed by each of the members which they expressed their best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The whole surprise was coordinated by Digmar Ramos, Rahily's sister, who days earlier had contacted the Embassy of Korea in order to manage a gift that undoubtedly has consolidated and strengthened the feeling of fighting cancer.
The overall logistics was in charge of the Korean Embassy in Caracas. BTS representatives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea were also involved in the realization of Ramos' dream.
Rahily was very excited to receive the gifts and messages from the Korean group, as well as other gifts prepared by the Embassy. Her mother, with tears in her eyes and seeing her happy daughter said "this is the most important gift from this year."
Rahily lives in Punto Fijo and has to come to Caracas every two months for her treatment against cancer. She has had three surgeries and has overcome them.
That was how the "Korean Wave", through the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, represented by the Cultural Attaché, Mr. Jin-kwan Oh, comforted the spirit of the young Rahily Ramos with this wonderful action, which allowed her to fulfill her desire to have contact with her favorite Korean group.
Moreover, the Korean embassy has worked with the team of Gente Seria Entertainment, who have been responsible for all visual content and development activities concerning the Korean cultural scene, performed in different parts of the country.
